In the process of making this film, I used certain effects to allow the audience to feel a part of the video. The way the video was filmed, the actor allows the audience to see everything he sees fro his perspective. Certain effects such as, Fast forwarding the speed. To create this film, I was in need of actors, settings, and recording tools. In addition to these tools, I was in need of editing tools and tools used to transfer media. I was caught between obstacles of the time of shooting the film and figuring out a schedule, and a shot list. This at times, was complicated, however I battled through it and was able to complete the video.
Making this film, took plenty of time and work despite that it is only about a minute long. All my fellow film workers used VDMX and Photoshop to create the videos. I used VDMX, Photoshop, IMovie, and QuickTime player for the visual aspect of the video. For the sound aspect of the video, I used iTunes in order to add sound. The certain effects I used such as Toons and Film Stock added an UNDER the INFLUENCE effect. The way I was able to do this was with the effects provided in VDMX. VDMX is an editing tool, which allows artists to distort and add onto or take from videos. Once the video went through t he editing process, a title page was required which I made through Photoshop, with advice and help from Massey. I spent personal time coming to the classroom to work on this video. After I was happy with my creation, the final edited videos were recorded on the screen with QuickTime player and added to the desktop where the final videos would be easily found. After these were all recorded and ready, all the videos were put into iMovie to have the individual films come together into one large music video. In iMovie, the title screens that were made were also added in to the beginning of the video and the music in the background had to move forward with each added picture. In the middle of all this, I had the advantage of speaking to the creator of the song and having a conversation with him, which has made me very proud of making this piece.
This process required outside sources and helps to be created. Old techniques were used, new techniques were learned and a film was created using help from others, creativity and techniques.
